I wanted to comment on the YouTube clip from the other day about Devonte Adams comments in this new Jordan Love era. I very much appreciated the player that Adams was here in GB and never begrudged his decision to move on in his career for his various reasons.

The thing I thought of when listening to your clip and his comments was that his staying here in GB might have been not such a net positive in the development of Jordan Love. I think we can argue that not having the true number one receiver, and a superstar receiver at that, made it a requirement for Love to more accurately go through reads and progressions and find his targets without too much focus on the often double covered number one guy. Target by committee worked very well in many of the games we watched last year. It accelerated the learning curve.

Would Jordan Love have come along so well by having the pressure to keep feeding the ball to number one? Would that have caused more mistakes, picks, or sacks? Those are questions I asked myself while watching that clip.
