General Info: Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina Delmar Glaze was a three-star prospect. He appeared in just one game his freshman season in 2020, earning him a redshirt. Glaze earned six starts in 2021, four coming at right tackle and two at left tackle. The former Terrapin came back in 2022 and started every game with 12 coming at right tackle and one on the left side. With the graduation of Jaylen Duncan; Glaze was moved to left tackle for the 2023 season and started every game there. He declared for the NFL draft shortly after their bowl game.

Positional Skills:

Strengths: Glaze has good size and length for the position. Very coordinated feet, can slide and shuffle his feet with ease. He can get out on screens and block on the move. He looked really smooth and athletic in 2022. The former Terrapin does show an ability to reset his hands quickly in pass protection. Glaze has the athleticism to reach wide 9 edge rushers. He has the frame and core strength to absorb power rushers. The former Terp shows strong hands on film when he locks on his defender. He keeps his head on a swivel and looks for work, he can sniff out T-E and E-T stunts. The Charlotte native will show power in the run game on occasion. Glaze is quick off the snap and into his sets. He has shown independent hand usage on film. The redshirt Junior smothers defenders when they try a spin move on him. Glaze has excellent balance and is rarely on the ground.

Weaknesses: Weighted in at 322 in the spring, and listed at 328; but played at a lighter weight in 2022. The added weights seem to have slowed him a bit, it looks like it was bad weight. Glaze can be a bit of a waist bender, this causes his head and shoulders to be too far over his feet. The former Terrapin does not show a lot of power on film; in the running game he tends to get a lot of stalemates. His hands can get a bit low and outside off the snap in his pass sets. Glaze will grab defenders on the outside of the shoulder pads, this can lead to holding calls. He still relies too much on his two hand punch.

Fit with the Packers:

Glaze would be a good long term fit for the Packers at either left or right tackle. He has the size and athleticism to be a plus starter at the next level. The North Carolina native has the athleticism to excel in Green Bay’s zone blocking. He has some technical flaws that a skilled pass rusher can take advantage of. Bringing his hands inside and little and higher could help unlock some power in his upper body. Bending his knees more should also help in his recovery quickness. Although it’s not a lot, dropping some of that bad weight he put on will help him as well. He probably will never be a top run blocker or seen as a mauler in the run game, but he will get the job done. Glaze is a solid day two pick that could come in and with a few minor technical tweaks could be an 8-10-year starter.
