I listen to Wilde & Tausch on Wisconsin on Demand every day. I also listen to several other Podcasts during the week since I live in Los Angeles and it takes 1 1/2 hours to go 25 miles most days going to and from my office. Needless to say I have a LOT of time to listen to Packers Podcasts. EVERY ONE of them seem to be pissed the Packers aren't playing in the NFCCG...WHY?

I mean I get it. The Packers outplayed & out coached the 49ers last weekend for 55 minutes. But it was those last 5 minutes that killed the Packers. But my point is this...

ALL SEASON LONG just about everyone of us though 7 wins would be good, 8 would be great, and anything else would be GRAVY. Playoffs? Hey if they made the playoffs that was REALLY gravy.

First and foremost we all wanted to know about Jordan Love. Was he going to be the next "Dude"? I think the question was answered with a resounding YES. Even those hard to please fans like myself who want to see more of it next year before FULLY believing the Packers are set again for at least 10 more years at QB. What he did with rookies and Doubs (Watson hardly played) and basically AJ Dillon until the end of the year was amazing,

WE all wanted to find out about these WRs and TEs. We go SO MUCH more than what we expected. I mean there's so many to be excited about. Musgrave, Kraft, Reed and Wicks all IMO are going to be different degrees of special. Especially Wicks. Man I like that dude. We found out SO MUCH about this team and LaFleur this season I can't wait for the 2024/25 season.

The Packers have 5 draft picks in the first 91 picks. They have a few dollars to play with in FA, hopefully to add a Safety or even an ILB or CB. I trust Gute will get some holes filled while some others continue to grow. But this team is REALLY set up for the future. Again I can't wit for September of 2024.

With a future that's so bright in Green Bay, I'm not getting pissed about last weekend. Especially when I SAID I'd be happy with what they already achieved.

Definitely! Even complete Homerism before week 1 couldn't have really expected this good of a season, and then after being 2-5

The end of last game, JL panicked, that's the only way I can make sense of it. He'd never been in a situation like that before, and the extent of his calm cool and collected was reached Hopefully he doesn't beat himself up over it but just learns, and everybody works that much harder this off-season. JRJ said he was ready for an off-season program while cleaning out his locker, so that's a good sign. I can think of plenty of player combinations that could work out together and really push each other to come in on day 1 of OTAs better than ever.

That's right NP. It's all so good for us , and I'm happy for you as much as the team. New DC, the Draft and we are on our way. Not as much to resolve as other years. In my mind, let go of Bahktiari, extend Kenny, keep Preston and Aaron for a couple more years, plug a few holes and fix the damn tackling!!!

Smile all the way on the commute but watch the road hogs!

I wouldn't put it all on the last 5 minutes. The 2 missed interceptions and the missed FG went a long way to determining that game. Missed plays always go both ways but change even 2 of those 3 plays and odds weigh heavily in the Packs favor of winning.

With that said the Packers showed just how beatable the 49ers are even at home. As a Packer fan living in the heart of Lion country the last 30 years have given me a lot of opportunity to talk trash. Even so I think the Lions are going to win and I hope they do. No fan base in the country deserves it more.

Got plenty of time to comment since we are not playing.
I'm much more of a Packer only viewer. I might spot check the games a bit but if it's not the Packers playing, I'm much less interested.

Everyone seems so high on next year and the future. While I agree things are looking up, don't forget all those years with AR when it was always SB or bust and it always busted. That's why I'm still ticked off that management took things for granted this year and might have been happy with things as they were since we over-achieved. What might have happened in if they did fire JB earlier and signed Crosby for the playoffs? So while this season is still being played, I'll be thinking that we should have been there. I guess sometime after the 2024 season starts and we see if we are SB or bust, I'll be able to put those thoughts aside.

Did you see Crosby kick this year. He was poor. Guys get old, they need to be replaced. Crosby was not the answer to that particular problem. Catch those two sure INTs and we're playing today, not SF.

There were lots of plays GB could have done better, and won the game. They didn't, and lost.

With 5:54 remaining in the second quarter, the Lions have already scored as many points against SF as GB did in an entire game.

Kyle the Genius and GM of the Year John Lynch have the Lions right where they want them. It's all part of the plan, LH. The 49ers have assembled and impressive roster filled with All-Pro players at key positions. They are lead by the son of a offensive savant who has brought his genius to the Bay Area. The Lions scored because Kyle wished it so.

Also, go with "BREAKING" or 'THIS JUST IN" posts of this nature. It'll increase your views.

Should we look for the 49ers to sign Joe Barry after this loss plays out?

I'm sure the pouring rain, 2 dropped INTs and a missed FG had nothing to do with it. Maybe you should switch your allegiance to the Lions.

Kyle Shanahan is the most overrated coach of the last 20 years. I am impressed with Lynch as a GM.

re: kicking game...Packers M.O. is to fall on their sword. Having said that, it would have been a great storyline if they would have signed Gould before he retired last month.

I m watching this game and can’t stop thinking about last week and what might have been…
Last I predicted the San Fran D is hugely overrated and can’t stop the run—they are pass rushers only and their DBs are a shaky.
And now maybe the experts can give us a break from hearing about the genius of John Lynch and Sham-ahan.
All Lynch has done is sign high rent FAs. …and did did that smug self appointed genius get in the HOF before Butler?
I sure of this, Detroit felt better about facing San Francisco than the Packers.

TWICE in VERY FG range and give the ball back to SF. 6 points in a 3 point game. The game is probably over and Shanahan will be called a genius because of 2 really stupid decisions by Detroit that he had nothing to do with.

Yup...IMO very stupid calls. Hindsight is always easy but Goddamn, those were ridiculous decisions by Campbell.

Because Campbell was a moron, Shanahan is once again a God...SMH

Sorry Nick, respectfully disagree…..why change the way you’ve played all year long? They won 3-4 games because of it. In fact, if Reynolds makes the catch and they score a TD and win the game because of it everyone is calling Campbell’s aggressive style is why. Andy Reid is also an aggressive coach. The problem is the player(s) choked in the 3rd quarter, two important missed catches and a fumble.

Detroit has assembled a really impressive roster. But their head coach...well, they can have him. As much as everyone loves the "all gas, no brakes" style, you have to know when to say when. He made risky decisions that backfired in the second game against us, and his refusal to kick FGs in this game to at least stop the bleeding and reverse the momentum weren't helpful, either.

Campbell may be a great leader and motivator, but these qualities are neutralized by his tremendous stubbornness and appetite for risk.

The team does have some players but they lack pass defense adn everyone passes on them because of it and their pass rush isn't that good. Certainly not any better then the Packs and not as good as the Vikes.
If they get a top DE with speed and size to pair up with Henderson they could be vastly improved but so will the Vikes, Bears and Packers, we get to draft too.
and were not going for it on 4th down, taking the points baby

Lions must not have watched the Packers game last week . Kick the field goals you win.
Wouldn’t hurt if you catch the ball too?

My favorite is the ball deflecting off a DB's shoulder pad and the SF WR catches it off the rebound.....You just can't make this shit up...LOL.
Reminds me of the incredibly ridiculous stuff the Patriots won games with. Lions let them back in the game...just like GB did.

I was hoping for San Fran - and then thought at half time - at least we beat the Lions on Thanksgiving in their park. Then when the game switched to San Fran's favor and a lot of it on Lions foolish gambling - I thought great what a bunch of chokes. Now I like some gambling /risk taking - but this was simply over the top - no matter what the announcers were saying. So now I am back and happy that San Fran is in the Superbowl. And I hope that they beat KC.

One has to decide on who one's arch nemesis are. For me in order of most to least - Bears, Vikes ( somewhat interchangeable). Lions and then others including Dallas ( Romo fumble and yappy Michael Irvine), Raiders and Denver . Now as I said - I really liked/smirking about the way that the Lions lost ( dumb gambling by their coach) and I also like the way that San Fran won - Mr Irrelevant playing lights out. I also have had the last laugh ever since the Pack drafted AR - when San Fran passed on him - so that eased the pain from the past.

Lions say "we'll be back"....hey, no guarantees in the NFL...you will lose a couple of coaches, a player or two, got a target on your back now...Goff could easily revert to the Rams Goff...yup...nothing is promised...this division is going to be much better each team....Packers need a good draft and maybe a good FA pickup theyll be fine...work on the defensive side of things...

I'm not so sure, the Vikings, we can pretty much assume they'll suck. Historically, the Bears suck, and also, even when in enviable positions figure out a way to suck. The Lions, well, that game could doom them to another generation of futility.

I think the biggest lesson of the Packers and Lions game is: take the points on the road. MLF and Campbell both passed on FGs to go for it. They were a combined 0-3. It used to be a cardinal rule before the stupid analytics took over.

After watching the Lions-SF game...The Biggest lesson I got out of it was if you have a bad angle on an INT or are not in good position don't try and go for the ball. In GB case, when JL threw behind Kraft, if he doesn't try and reach too far back, the ball falls harmlessly to the ground instead of an INT....Sometimes when things go awry, we can make it worse by going against what has been a poor situation and make it worse. Momentum is real.....and some teams are criminally lucky.

The Niners got a gift, LeFleur passing on a field goal that would have won or tied the game and Cramballs who passed on two field goals because he is he man. They go to the super bowl because their coach coached and make adjustments to what the other team was doing successfully. Thats why they win. They arent a better team they are a better coached team and pre pared team.

The Ravens are a disaster that isnt waiting to happen it did happen. Cowherd said is best, they ran all over their opponents all year. That was their forte. In the KC game Lamar passed for 46 times and they barely ran the ball.
It wasnt like they had to play big time catchup the game was never that far off so why not do what you do best instead of play a totally different game? Bad coaching. Andy had game in hand and players keyed up to do what they practiced. Andy out coached Hairball.
