Their defense may give Rodgers fits again--if they jam receivers and play in the box, it will make it difficult to run the ball---if we have no TO's, OL controls line of scrimmage, and Pettine schemes to get after Brady all afternoon, we'll have a chance

I agree with Nags about looking forward to the Jenkins/Suh matchup. I'll catch hell from my fellow cheeseheads but Elgton is our best O lineman and i love just watching him play and dominate. I was nervous about the matchup before but not now because we are a different team, LaFleur is a great strategist and Aaron is super focused. This team is so much fun to watch that i can't wait until every sunday comes. It'll be a close, for sure, but we have a better coach, a better quarterback, and our defense plays up to the level of talent against them. GPG because we need a new championship banner!

That guy Suh is nothing but a thug, some years ago, with the lions he stomped on one of the Packers guys ankle when the guy was on the ground. He plays dirty.

The way the Bucs played the Saints, everyone was so bunched up it was hard to see anyone getting a run lane to get thru. Our offense is bunched up pretty tight also. Maybe try some 2-3 WR sets and 1-2 TE spread it out a bit and then maybe get some running game going. I hope Dillon heals quickly. It's a perfect game for him to show up. He was moving the pile 5-9 yds on the Rams. Getting the fast ILB group to cover TE's will open up the run more depending on their routes/ blocking. ML has his work cut out there. A good game for a lot of motion. Our OL is up to task. I hope Pettine can scheme pressure on Brady. Push the pocket and make him uncomfortable. Rodgers just needs to keep moving the chains and getting first downs, he's doing great. I think it looks a lot like the Rams game but against better ILB's and better WR'S. GPG

Exactly , and this is what worries me a bit that Bucs ILB's alot better and faster than the Ram's and their offense is studded with talent and Mr.Brady in the center. We should not play soft against this offense like we did a bit in the second half of the division round game against Rams.
Hope we learnt from our past mistakes and game plan well on how to negate the Bucs passrush.

"The way the Bucs played the Saints, everyone was so bunched up it was hard to see anyone getting a run lane to get thru."

The Bucs were able to crowd the LoS because Brees cannot throw downfield anymore. Rodgers still can. They won't pack it in so close.

I've heard a number of people, including Nagler, barking about the criticism surrounding the Packs 2020 draft considering how far they've got this year.

Just because a team made up of basically last years players is playing better than last year (mostly Rodgers elevated play), doesn't mean the Pack couldn't have used more contributions from this years draft. Even one impact player from the draft can make the difference from getting to the NFCCG to getting past it. Not to mention the SB.

The argument that the current team has had a great year so far means the 2020 draft was a success makes no sense since the contributions from the class have been very limited.

If the Pack win the SB the best argument to validating Guteys 2020 draft was that drafting Love lit a fire under Rodgers ass and made him realize how important it was to buy in to Lafleurs system.

J Love not a single snap. Dillion, one very good game. Dejuara injured most of the season. No fourth round pick - traded to move up to get Love. Martin only four snaps against LA even though Barnes was playing with a cast. Runyon, fill in for injuries looks Ok. Hanson PS. Stepaniak finally cleared after knee injury, but as far as I know, no snaps. Scott ST guy and depth player. Garvin -see Scott.

For all I know the players from the 2020 draft will all end up All-Pros. But for the current season the critics of the the last draft have been mostly correct. Very little contribution.

If Nagler and the finger-wavers are stating that Gutey was so prescient so omniscient about how this years team would perform without much from the 2020 draft then that's another thing.

I wouldn't have brought it up except the montage in video about the draft prognosticators and the implication they were idiots.

It's true, we don't know how they'll turn out. But if GB wins the SB this year it won't be because of them.

The 2020 season is definitely getting a lift from the 2019 draft.

But the 2020 draft has been a big nothing burger so far.

OMG, some guys just like it to cry their whole life. And these people are fact free, thats for sure. Parallel universe.
Since Gute drafted, he was really good and AR did not play a single snap in his first year either. And not much in his first three seasons. So he was a bust, right?
2 NFC champ games in 2 years, 26 to 6 and some sour looosers complain. No idea what they want. Strange......thats a crybaby cult and you can win these guys over. They life on another planet, far from here, just like the oranges.
We waste the prime our grasskeeper, our D is so bad. And our special teams. We will implode against better teams. We only have wholes. No weapons. Look at all the other great teams. We are too soft and cant tackle. And look at the 5k towers......

The Bucs won with a familiar way. l Cause turnovers, don't make mistakes yourselves, rush the passer and play man defense. Then Brady picks apart the defense and dominates in the latter part of the game. New Orleans receivers were not that open and Brees didn't have the accuracy to make some of those throws. LaFluer will have to scheme receivers open through bunching, avoid third and long. I thought Kamara was running fairly well, but in the second half, they went away from the run.

The Bucaneers dominated Green Bay in every facet of the game earlier this year. I don't think Sunday will be much different. They know it and and they know the Packers know it. Suh will be in Rodgers head all game long. Right now, it's fair to say that they are the best team in the league. I would love to see the Pack.get revenge and advance, but whatever happens, they've had a fantastic season, and should be proud of all they've accomplished.

I am afraid this game will come down to who has the ball last. Brady still moves well in the pocket and has a very quick delivery so I don’t think we will get any consistent pressure on him. The weather will not affect Brady and I don’t think it will be bone chilling cold so the rest of his team probably won’t be affected either. We just have to execute and play turnover free ball.

IF we lose this game it will be a tough pill to swallow. I will need counseling, I sure was cheering for the Saints GO, Pack, GO! All we have seen, and heard for years is brady, brady, brady.

Naw, this is the game we should want, Rodgers vs Brady. Let Rodgers show he's the better QB on a big stage and leave the lasting memory of him beating Brady.

This is a legacy game for Rodgers, possibly, in his mind, one of the most important games of his career. He believes he's the best QB ever. Yet Brady is considered by most as the GOAT, mostly due to the rings. One argument pro Rodgers people make is that Brady had Belichick while Rodgers had McCarthy. But now Brady is doing it without Belichick. The pressure on Rodgers is greater than on Brady. This game lines up as epic. It's Ali/Frazier, U.S. Olympic hockey team vs the Russian baddies, Titanic vs iceberg. I think Rodgers has his best game ever. The Titanic wins this time.

Tampa defense will not permit that to happen. (Google "How Buccaneers DC Todd Bowles created the NFL's best defense".)

Watch Packers vs. Buccaneers Game Live Online :2021 NFL Conference Championship

The opponent? Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, who won six Super Bowls with New England and has a chance to win a seventh for his new team.

One day after the Packers mostly dominated the Los Angeles Rams in a 32-18 victory, the Buccaneers punished the New Orleans Saints 30-20 at the Superdome. The same swarming defense that made life miserable for Rodgers and Co. in October produced four takeaways and made Drew Brees look like an old man.

That set up a made-for-TV showdown between two living legends. Rodgers and Brady will meet for only the fourth time in their illustrious careers. It will be by far the most important, with Green Bays infamous loss at Seattle in the 2014 NFC Championship Game robbing the world of a Rodgers vs. Brady matchup in the Super Bowl. Rodgers desperately wants to win a second Super Bowl. Brady desperately wants to win a Super Bowl without Bill Belichick.

We ve got to go beat a great football team. Aarons playing incredible. Were going to have to play great to beat them,” Brady told Foxs Erin Andrews after the game.

The early forecast for Sunday is a high of 23 with a chance of snow.

While they never would have admitted it, the Packers probably would have preferred a matchup against Brees and the Saints. Never mind that Green Bay won at New Orleans 37-30 in Week 3 but lost at Tampa Bay 38-10 in Week 6. Brees, who has spent all 20 seasons playing in the warmth of San Diego or the dome in New Orleans, played in only one game with a kickoff temperature of 25 or colder. Brady, meanwhile, is a resounding 15-3.

Almost exactly three months ago, the Packers were outclassed by the Bucs. Coming off its bye, Green Bay raced to a 10-0 lead but Rodgers threw a pick-six and an interception on back-to-back possessions. The Packers never crossed midfield over the final three quarters. They had nine first downs on their first two possessions and four in their final 10.

Might need to add an extra finger to the scotch, but I do feel good about the team,” Rodgers said after a miserable afternoon. Ive played for so long, youre going to have a couple stinkers. I think about the game at New York many years ago [2012] where I hit Jordy (Nelson) on an out-and-up to start the game, and we lost 38-10. Tonight kind of felt like that, unfortunately, where you kind of got off to a nice start and then just nothing. So, I feel really good about our squad. Weve had four really, really good weeks, being efficient, winning, offensively being very explosive, defensively coming up with timely stops.

This is, I believe, an anomaly, not the beginning of a trend. And weve got a chance to prove me right next week.”

Rodgers was proven right again and again. The Packers will enter Sundays championship game with seven consecutive wins.

In a heavyweight showdown on Saturday, Green Bays top-ranked scoring offense overwhelmed the Rams top-ranked scoring defense. It will be a similar challenge on Sunday.

Brees was 19-of-34 passing for just 134 yards. Premier receiver Michael Thomas was shut out on four targets.

Rodgers, of course, is a far better player than Brees at this point in his career. Hes the likely MVP after throwing 48 touchdown passes in the regular season and two more in the playoffs. He led the NFL in passer rating, touchdown passes, completion percentage, touchdown percentage and interception percentage.

Tampa Bays defense is legit. The Bucs finished eighth in points allowed and first against the run with 80.6 yards per game and 3.60 yards per carry. Linebacker Devin White, who had 11 tackles and one interception against the Saints, had 10 tackles, one sack and three tackles for losses against Green Bay. The Bucs had five sacks in the first meeting.

While the reality is it will be Rodgers facing that dominant defense and Green Bays defense contending with the legendary Brady and his deep list of weapons, the hype will be centered on Rodgers vs. Brady – arguably the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

When it comes to big picture and you guys writing your stories and telling that whole story, which I know is a part of it, its two older guys,” Rodgers said before the Week 6 game. Hes a little bit older than I am – hes got me by about six-and-a-half or seven years – but we havent played a lot because hes been in the AFC the majority of his career and Ive been over here.

Hes obviously done it at the highest of levels for so long. Hes been an icon at the position. Hes been somebody that weve all looked up to for so many years as the standard of excellence. I think theres a ton of admiration and respect for the way that hes played the game from so many of us, especially us guys whove been in the same era for so many years with him and gotten to compete with him every now and then being an NFC guy. I think its good that we just enjoy it for what it is, have respect and admiration for the way that we have played over this time, and enjoy where were at in our careers now.”
