Obviously no use in sugarcoating it, an absolutely disastrous day in Denver. Particularly the injuries to Parsons, Watson, Tom and others. Defense furthermore did not play great and the cornerbacks in particularly got worked by Denver WRs.
However, the night is darkest before the dawn. The team must soldier on. Focus on the players we have and go out against Chicago with a positive mentality. We CAN win the NFC North and we CAN be successful in the playoffs. I trust our QB and I trust MLF. Go Pack Go.

I was disappointed in Love's second half. He missed 4-5 open receivers with really poor passes. Given the injuries, I'm hoping we can win 1 more and sneak in at 10-6-1. Going to Chicago, then to division rival Minnesota, and a Ravens team likely needing a win badly. That's a nasty schedule with all our missing pieces.

The day Vince Lombardi boarded the plane to Washington. The Franchise has only won 2 Championships in the nearly 60 years since. And it ain't even close to one again this year. Need a reset after this season, the Parsons signing was impactful obviously but without a HC with a killer instinct and serious recurring discipline & fundamental lapses, it is rinse and repeat just like it was with McCarthy for all but 1 year of his tenure.

It’s hard to believe it’s been that long . Everytime a team comes out with punches the offense in the mouth they fold . They cannot match the physicality and usually the offensive line folds under the pressure and injuries occur . This time Tom . Penalties also seem to multiply under pressure this time Walker falls apart most notably. On the defense the cornerbacks were exposed for what they are mediocre . Nixon and Valentine always seem to be chasing not covering. This team is far from Super Bowl material . Parsons injury is devastating to this defense . Packers will be lucky to even make the playoffs . A LaFleurish quick one and done if they do.

CHI is going to hammer us if we play like this again. Rasheed Walker thought he played for Denver. Love choked big time in Q4, no sugar coating that. Worst CB play I have ever seen from this team outside of the Dallas fiasco.
Now we have some big time injuries to overcome. Now we'll find out how good LaFleur and Hafley are with tjeir backs against thwle wall? Can LaFleur come up with a game plan for the offense to succeed? Can Hafley reconfigure our defense and find us a pass rush without Micah?

This team is going nowhere. they can't beat the vikes or bears coming up and probably miss the playoffs.

Tough loss. The physical nature of the game hurt the Packers and the commentators didn't say much about one of the key losses: Zach Tom. Kinnard proved to be wholly inadequate to block anyone. Love was ducking from the rush on the right side. Assuming Tom is out next Sunday there will need to be some hard thinking about who is going to play right tackle. The Bears defense will eat Kinnard alive. Notice Morgan was only in for a few plays?
We'll also see , assuming Parsons is out for awhile, if Van Ness can live up to his draft position.

I'm sorry but the Packers just aren't there yet...and it leaves me wondering why? Seems like the team is great at shooting themselves in the foot. 4 Field goals shows the weaknesses. Denver's receivers caught everything. Packers missed interception after interception. One fumble was all the team could generate. Is not worth watching...disappointment after disappointment.

I have come to the realization that Gutes has to go! Look at 2 of our 1st round draft choices - Van Ness and Morgan. Neither of them are true starters yet. Van Ness never even started a game in college yet was our first pick because of his "athletic" ability?
LaFleur can only do so much with what he's given. We thought this would be the year with Parsons but all it takes is one injury and, poof ...
If we had solid starters from our high picks we would be in far better shape.

Denvers DB's can actually catch an INT and that alone was a huge part of this loss.I counted 3-4 sure INT's dropped by our DB's. Good teams do not do this. Parsons leg collapsed sideways...minimum knee sprain...looked worse. RT went down with a knee also. # 9 went down cause he fell....With a team so needy for speed down field GB needs to rely on 3 players and not only 1....There are others as fast or faster but not used the same way??? We are out 2-1st round picks and need 2 starting DB's and a couple DL...an actual #1 and 2 WR....better draft your butt off Gute and pay some coin if you can. Kraft going down is huge also. I don't like this long bomb low percentage shots when medium stuff was working all day and not running the ball enough. Red zone was poor leaving a lot of points off the board.

Packers played arguably the best team in the league on the road and lost by 8...the bigger losses are the injuries. This is now the 2024 defense. Cox should be coming off IR, but nobody is Parsons. This is where Hafley needs to show his stuff.
Without Tom, the Broncos eventually overran the Packers' OL. Nice to see Golden involved, even though it was only after Watson's injury. If Watson's out multiple weeks, it's time for 0. Reed fell awkwardly late and didn't return. Those were the real costs of this game. This wasn't a must-win, but it would've been a good one to have.
Jacobs playing on a leg and a half was fun to watch.
Chicago will be ready next week, but Chicago is no Denver.

Our DB's played like Ass. No less than 4 dropped / missed INT's . GB needs 2 starting CB's and a couple starting DL. This team does nothing until #0 is the go to WR on most plays and Watson is back. GB failed in the red zone, too many 3 pointers instead of TD's. That's what I see. NIX is pretty good-GB secondary made him look great...and his Wr's did their job.

December 15, 2025 at 05:50 pm
Yeah, you're off target here.
Our pass defense, as measured by yards/attempt, is 6th in the NFL. We don't "need" 2 starting CBs....both Nixon and Valentine....who start for the #6 passing defense.....are under contract for next year. So is Hobbs.
Every hole you make on the roster is a hole you have to fill. We have a draft pick around #55, and another around #88. Then not again until late in the 4th round.
Additionally, some guys are probably leaving: Walker the OT, Walker the LB, Enagbare, Rhyan, Wilson....all FAs after the season. We'll obviously try to keep some of them.
My point is that we have limited resources, and we shouldn't make holes just so we can spend resources filling them.

Nix was 24 when drafted....with a legit HC and top NFL defense...Not bad start at all. Some are definitely ahead of the curb....some need time...some do not...same as WR's etc. GB has a bad habit of slow rolling most positions everyone could see they are ahead of what's holding them back...Like Golden for instance...our best WR we now have criminally under-utilized when he was healthy....hopefully he stays healthy and eats up the snaps and is highly targeted by JL.

This is a very banged up team, no doubt. Now when it's darkest, we must see who will step up to lead. I would like to shout out to Edgerriun Cooper for giving us two chances late to get the ball back, making back to back 4th down stops. Golden had a pretty good game. Since we were blacked out here on the west coast except for the last few minutes of the game after the Seahawk game, I only got to see the last couple of offensive drives. For the life of me, I couldn't understand why MLF didn't have Love roll out or use quick slants or some other shorter passes. Time after time, Love had to drop back in the pocket that was collapsing around him as he waited for receivers to get open down field. It is so frustrating to see. My take on Love, he spends as much pre snap time trying to figure who might hit him versus who's lined up and who is covering them. How many two yard passes this year when we needed 9 or more for a first did he throw just to avoid getting hit. Sure the online sucked today but he knew that and couldn't speed his delivery or run wide for time. Made himself a sitting duck. Nix ran to get guys open. Nix is the newbie Love, what six years now.

Gutekunst has always been the problem - since the day of his hiring as GM in January 2018.
Gute destroyed the Packers and following throwing away future Packer Hall of Fame and/or NFL Hall of Fame wide receivers - leaving Rodgers with nothing - replaced the 4 time MVP with all of college football leader in throwing interceptions.
Lafeur with Rodgers:
2019-20 - 13 wins 3 losses
2020-21 - 13 wins 3 losses
2021-22 - 13 wins 3 losses (Love's 1 start a loss vs. KC)
Followed those disasters up with continued destruction of veteran team chemistry with throwing away Rasul Douglas and Aaron jones (over $1 million while throwing away a $75 million signing bonus on unproven Jordan, who was still under contract for the next season, but holding out).
Now this season in desperation to cover for his Jordan Love disaster Gutey gave away what was left of the farm for Micah Parsons.
Textbook destruction of a team on the brink of multiple Super Bowls.

The only book or plan this team has read or writes weekly, A Tale of Two Halves.
Last week's win could easily have been a loss, and I didn't post all week as my head wouldn't stop shaking back and forth like the halves of this team. My head is still doing so, but now with greater emphasis. Love is good when all is right, but it doesn't take much to get his other side in the game. MLF is gonna MLF, period.
The injuries suck, but this team needs a 'PLAY 60" course regardless of who is or isn't playing.
A loss in Chicago next week puts the Pack out of the 7 seeds, and a game against a really desperate Raven squad could be the shovel that pats down the dirt on the grave for this season.
It's a good thing Detroit lost.

The Packers were not able to run with the Big Dogs today. Penalties, dropped passes, dropped picks, poor tackling and devastating injuries undid the Packers in this game, particularly in the second half. Losing Tom, Watson, Parsons and maybe Reed to injuries took the steam out of the Packers offense and defense.
The Packers CBs were badly exposed, especially Nixon.
The questions now are all around the seriousness of the respective injuries to Tom, Watson, Reed and Parsons. Can the Packers recover and respond in time for the Bears game on Saturday and on the road?
This game turned into an ugly loss and in the worse possible way given the injuires suffered to four key players. Can MLF pull this team together and overcome this level of adversity? We'll see. GPG! Thanks, Since '61

Tackle better and that keeps 7-10 points off the board at least.

Don't get me started about pussy/arm tackling and lack of put your shoulder in it every play pursuit.

Disappointing for sure re: the injuries. For me, this game kind of exposed Matt Lefluer’s flaws as a coach. Very stale play calling the 2nd half. This guy insists on wasting time outs (the one before Denver’s first 4th and 1???, that terrible challenge). Penalties keep coming, very undisciplined team all around. Not really sure what Rich Bascia teaches this team anymore. He has outlasted his reputation by a long shot. Anyways, God bless Watson, Parsons, and Tom. Hope they get well soon.

Penalties keep coming, very undisciplined team.. 12 men on the field, off sides, Packers stopped the Denver player and third Packer punches him. PUNCHES HIM! Undisciplined? Perhaps they're undisciplined shit for brains animals! The Bears will have the Packers for lunch Saturday. They won't make the playoffs. Turn off the lights, the scam is over.

Attempts to punch the ball out, as you see from lots of defenders these days on nearly every play.

The play was over, he was not trying to punch the ball out. He clearly punched the player. That's why the 15 yard penalty was called. Undisciplined shit for brains animal.

Looks like the Pack’s season is toast with loss and the injury to three more key players. It was an interesting season up until now. The next two weeks should seal the coffin. The ball is in Ed Policy’s court now. Some tough sleddin’ ahead.

Take a good hard look Mr. Policy, a good hard look at what seems to never change with this team..

I don't think it has been fair of the team to call Valentine & Nixon CB1's. They just are not on the level of authentic CB1's. The OLine is average except Tom-why is that? There have been expensive whiffs on important positions on the OL, DL and others-

December 15, 2025 at 06:00 pm
Then why have the Packers been one of the league's best pass defenses? Just the greatness of Parsons? Why are we 2nd in yards/catch? 6th in yards/attempt? How does that happen without authentic CB1s?

It’s a good question LH. But how do we reconcile the DBs play in this gm with the stats you cite?

We should all applaud the pack. They did have the third toughest schedule this year on paper. Lucky some of those grinder teams weren't very good when we played them so our record is pretty good considering their is nothing special about this team.
Today we played maybe the best team in football and they showed us how far away we really are from competing. Pass d non existent, tackling so so and passing game on and off.
Hey you enjoyed a good year so far but it's going now where the rest of the season.

Jordo, right about the time you are beginning to win me over.... again. Then we go to Denver for a clutch game and you go 24 of 40? 1Td, 2 interceptions with a passer rating of 68?
I'm not laying this loss totally at your feet but.... In a clutch game those of us wanting to get on your bandwagon really began to think, maybe you are more than just an average NFL quarterback, maybe you are heading for the top tier in the league. In clutch games the cream rises to the top. Unfortunately that was not the case today average performance does not work in highly important games such as this one. We Packer fans have to swallow hard with the realization that average players without a lot of luck, which you Mr Love have had more than your share don't get very far when thinking of extended seasons into the playoffs.
Year 6 now as a veteran and we will cheer you on when you do well even with the bad taste in our mouths now with the irrevocable realization we have an inconsistent average QB albeit perhaps near the top of the average class it's hard to be confident of the next clutch game.
Enjoy that contract, for now, along with your white knights that will defend you while denying after 6 years we should expect more than average. As for me, it will take a hell of a lot to get one of my feet back up on your band wagon.
If you do nothing more than average with good games and bad ones mixed in the rest of your time in Green Bay PLEASE bring your best games and beat the Bears when given the opportunity.
My apologies J.L. White Knights....

Daring to say what people are thinking.
I got 10 downvotes last week for suggesting Love didn't have an unlimited amount of time to bring home the trophy before the team would go in another direction.
The Wall Of Truth: When he turns the ball over more than once, we almost never win, but when he protects it, we almost always win.

News flash. When JL throws 1 or more INT's and our DB's drop 4 INT's.....We should lose also.

Jordan has a leaky O-Line. Jordan has LT Rasheed Walker. Aaron had LT David Bahktiari and other stellar OLmen It's not fair to judge Jordan under these circumstances. Denver also has a real Pass Rush and our OL is average and below average with Tom out.

According to Pro football reference "Advanced Passing" numbers Jordan Love is pressured less than most quarterbacks.
Jordan's problem is not the Packers offensive line, Jordan's problem is his lateral movement sucks, his pocket presence sucks, he holds the ball too long.
Below are the Pressure percentages per pass attempt for a few quarterbacks on the season (just google Football reference advanced passing 2025). Of course if you hold the ball too long, pressure % will be higher, so high pressure % is not necessarily due to an offensive line that does not pass protect. In my opinion the Packers pass protection is better than the 12th ranking below would indicate - Jordan's shortcomings - note above - inflate his pressures.
The League average is 21.4%
Baker Mayfield 14.6%
Aaron Rodgers 17.2%
Josh Allen 18.0%
Matthew Stafford 18.4%
Jordan Love 19.1% (12th out of 32 quarterbacks - i.e. 12th least pressured)
Daniel Jones 20.3%
Jalen Hurts 21.0%
Dak Prescott 21.6%
Drake Maye 21.9%
C. J. Stroud 21.9%
Lamar Jackson 22.6%
Patrick Mahomes 23.5%
Justin Herbert 28.3%
JJ McCarthy 29.4% (34th of 34 quarterbacks listed)

Not to mention AR started his career with Driver/ Jennings/ J. Jones / Jordy Nelson....Any of whom is more reliable than what we currently have and AR had them all at the same time. Golden looks like the real deal IF ML would play him A LOT MORE now he's healthy again.

I got tired of hearing the announcers say again and again and again that these two teams may face each oither in the SB. Super Bowl, did they say Super Bowl? Did they forget about a half dozen other teams as good or better than the Packers? They lose their best defender and best receiver and they'll be in the SB? The safeties and corners are as dumb as tree stumps and can't contol their undisciplined temper resulting in penalty after penalty. And yes, the Packers' season is over. They are a good team, not a great team, not a SB team, not even close.

The biggest difference I saw today was :
One team caught interceptions, the other dropped them, one team had d backs that had close coverage, the other had no coverage at all, one team had a great d line , the other team had one guy that got hurt, one team had excellent linebacker play, the other team had Quay Walker.
Other than Josh Jacobs I didn’t see anyone or any position that the packers had an advantage over Denver. That includes the coach and GM.

Yet, we were winning by 9 in the 3rd quarter until the hero ball shot. No reason for that play at all yet they do it. It changed the game and the season.

I think some people might think it wasn't a hero ball shot, but rather an attempt to stick the dagger in. We throw deep well. It's a strength of the offense.

The injuries suck. But we were winning games without Watson before. I mean hopefully he’s good. But Reed coming back is huge, Golden stepping up in huge and Musgrave/Fitzpatrick are serviceable. Our corners are a weekness….but most of us knew that. Jacobs and Wilson can take over a game of the pound the rock. Not all hope is lost . Enegbare isn’t playing bad either.

More stupid hero ball when it is absolutely unnecessary. Dumb decision completely changed the game and now the season.
