Mark Murphy's mother ahead of her son on Matt LaFluer
Nancy Murphy sounds like a classic Packers fan.
By PackerAaron
Mark Murphy sat down with Larry McCarren for an interview on the Packers website to talk about the hiring of new head coach Matt LaFluer.
Most of the interview is pretty bolierplate stuff that you'd expect from a piece of team controlled content, but this bit at the end when Murphy tells the story about his mom reading about the coaching search online before it had really even begun is pretty funny.
Ok, this is great. Mark Murphy's mother complains about the pass rush and takes Internet rumors as gospel. A true Packers fan... pic.twitter.com/MEB4tms4w9

Good stuff! Aaron, you should see if Mrs. Murphy and Aunt Gert would do a segment together for CHTV.

LaFleur, LeFleur, Lafluer. We've got MVS, ESB, LaFleur. We need to draft people and get coaches with easier names to spell.

Ron Wolf always said that you need a list of possible replacements in case something happens. The fact that Murphy fired McCarthy without knowing who LaFleur is says volumes about his lack of preparation for the obvious. McCarthy was already on the hot seat long before the loss to the Cardinals. Who among us thought that a firing was not inevitable by the end of the season?

Or...it's just a funny story you're reading too much into.
