Fitzgerald has his dream job already , McDaniel is next Packers HC , he won’t want to take over for Billichek he wants to start his own legacy and would have Rodgers for another 5 years.

Jacob and Ross great job!

Good back and forth with good insight. Like the statement NFL Head Coach success rates are worse than drafted first round selections.

Definitely exciting times! Really hope McCarthy goes to Cleveland meaning less competition for a head coach in GB. I'm guessing if that happens the Browns will be wanting to ask for permission to interview a few Packer assistant coaches. Maybe McCarthy will ask about Zook if he gets a new head coaching position? Seriously...would MM want Zook?

With at least seven openings this becomes a good market for those candidates in high demand. I'm guessing only 2-3 of the new hires will be successful and still employed as a HC in 3-4 years. I think MM either signs with AZ or sits out a year. I still don't care for McDaniel as I just don't trust him over the long haul. It's gonna be interesting for sure.

We all know just like at draft time many fans are upset if their player of choice isn't selected. It will be the same with the head choice selection.

Me... while I will be curious to find out the reason for the hire I have no doubt the Packer FO will have done the very best they can do in making their decision. I will support their choice whomever it may be!

I hope you're right, but according to the latest news the Packers are still pursuing Fitzgerald despite his announcement that he's staying at Northwestern. How does that look to the other candidates that are scheduled to interview?
To me it looks like Magic "Power Monger" Mark already has his mind made up!
Now, will other candidates (with NFL experience) take their interviews serious knowing they're likely a 'second choice', or will they interview elsewhere first (while Murphy kisses Fitzgerald's a$$) and take a good offer before we get a chance?
I know how I'd lean!
