6 Pats opted out and supposedly about 25 have en total. Sports analyst expect the number to grow quit a bit before Aug 3rd. Also if you opt out your done for the year, you cannot un-opt out. Funchress may not have even made the team.
Most of the opt out are 30 and over, made their money, have large families or new babies on the way.

The Patriots plan is to have all the starters opt out so they lose all their games and get the number 1 pick next year , Trevor Lawrence.
