Report: Packers to Lose Veteran College Scout Alonzo Dotson to Jets

New Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst will have another position to fill on his player personnel staff this summer.

According to Michael Cohen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers have lost veteran college scout Alonzo Dotson, who is expected to join the New York Jets' staff under the terms of a possible promotion.

Dotson played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners as a defensive end for four seasons before working as an assistant coach at Madison High School for two years.

Eventually, Dotson would find his way to Green Bay to work under Gutekunst's predecessor, Ted Thompson, as a defensive quality control coach.

He worked with handling administrative duties, working with the defensive line and linebackers and organizing the offensive scout team. Among other duties, Dotson's background -- both as a player and as a coach -- made him an integral part of the personnel staff.

Dotson was officially hired as a college scout in February 2013 by Thompson, serving in that role for five seasons.

Dotson is the nephew of Santana Dotson, who played for the Packers for six seasons and was a critical part of the 1996 championship team, and the grandson of Alphonse Dotson, who was drafted by Green Bay in the second round of the 1965 draft.

Eliot Wolf and Alonzo Highsmith -- two lengthily-tenured executives in the Packers' front office -- also left this offseason to assume high-ranking positions in the Cleveland Browns' football operations.

If there are any more in the personnel department called Alonzo, Maybe they should ask them if they are thinking of leaving as well.

Not Alonzo: "Hi I am calling about the scouting position. I have 25 years NFL experience and have found multiple All-Pros in Division 3 football."
BG: "Is your name Alonzo?"
Not Alonzo: "No"

Impossible. TT collected no good personnel department. Prove is in the 10 years of drafting. Total disaster. At least by many here...

Anytime someone leaves an organization, there's always a higher probability of a stream of people seeing themselves to the door for any number of reasons: regime change, getting recruited by the person who left, a promotion, etc.

A lot of guys use the Packers as a stepping stone to greater opportunities, and you can't blame them. While it's a testament to the Packers growing and developing talent, I am concerned we are becoming a "training ground" that other teams will just poach from.

I hope the Packers can retain their young talent, but I know we will lose some great guys. Hopefully some of them will back later on to where it all started...1265 Lombardi Ave.

Does seem like a lot of people leaving. Makes me wonder why. I’m assuming opportunities.

How interesting is the article that makes you truly smart and shows your level of readiness to study this topic? It seemed to me that https://assignment-help.co.uk/ helps a lot more because they make a bias towards a wider reach of the audience of which students with their written assignments are.

Oh, I miss my high school time, my friend was at the football team and always talked to us all the news. It is good when people understand how and where they want to develop themselves, my friend decided to stay a player, but his close friend wanted to manage the team and become a coach in the future. I guess I should give up with this discussion and back to essay service to be able to pass my exam tomorrow. I will have music appreciation final exam and will go to the holiday))

I think that the football team of this college will cope, even with the loss of such skilled players, they have a new coach who will make his own changes. I would just like to help students, and recommend https://papersbattle.com/best-assignment-writing-services/ is a place where students can find a service for writing their assignments for college, good luck to you.
