The Cincinnati Bengals placed kicker Mike Nugent and cornerback Morgan Trent on injured reserve on Monday.

Nugent injured his right knee during an onsides kick attempt during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. An MRI on Sunday night confirmed the season-ending nature of his injury.

Trent, a second-year cornerback from the University of Michigan, missed Sunday's game with a knee injury. In eight games this season, including one start, Trent has 26 tackles and the first interception of his NFL career.

The Bengals did not announce who would be taking their spots on the 53-man roster.
