Bengals Place RB Brian Leonard on IR

The Cincinnati Bengals have placed running back Brian Leonard on season-ending injured reserve.
A 2007 second-round pick (52nd overall) out of Rutgers by the St. Louis Rams, Leonard was traded to the Bengals during the 2009 off-season. In 23 games with the Bengals, Leonard has 36 carries for 145 yards with 50 receptions for 354 yards and a touchdown as a third-down back.
Leonard missed Sunday's 34-20 win over the San Diego Chargers with an ankle injury, and is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in the off-season.
To replace Leonard on the 53-man roster, the Bengals have claimed rookie cornerback David Pender off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts.
