Bengals Sign TE J.P. Foschi

The Cincinnati Bengals announced the signing of tight end J.P. Foschi.

To make room on the 53-man roster, the Bengals waived tight end Daniel Coats. Cornerback Adam Jones has also been placed on injured reserve, leaving the Bengals with an additional open roster spot.

Foschi (6-3, 266) started 10 of 15 games for the Bengals last season, catching 27 passes for 260 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Foschi also caught six passes for 37 yards during an 11--game stint with the Oakland Raiders in 2005-06, and appeared in 7 games for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2008.

Originally signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech in 2004, Foschi has had stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, and Buffalo Bills, where he caught a pair of passes for 17 yards during the 2010 pre-season.
