Broncos Re-Sign Daniel Coats; Activate LB Lee Robinson

The Denver Broncos announced that tight end Daniel Coats has been re-signed, and linebacker Lee Robinson has been signed off the team's practice squad.

Coats and Robinson replace Dan Gronkowski and Joe Mays, who were placed on injured reserve on Monday.

Coats (6-3, 260) caught 30 passes for 291 yards in 53 games with the Cincinnati Bengals, who had signed him as an undrafted free agent out of BYU in 2007. Denver had signed the veteran on November 9, but released him the next day.

Signed by the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Alcorn State in 2009, Robinson had 7 tackles for Denver during the 2009 pre-season, but was waived last September. Robinson split his rookie season between the Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who waived him after a nine-tackle pre-season.

Robinson spent two weeks on the Bucs' practice squad this season before he was released. Denver re-signed him in Week 6.
