The Denver Broncos announced the release of running back Justin Fargas.

A third-round pick out of USC by the Oakland Raiders in 2003, Fargas has rushed for 3,369 yards and 10 touchdowns, with 77 receptions and 523 yards as a receiver out of the backfield. The Raiders cited a failed physical for releasing the 30-year old Fargas in March.

Fargas gained 17 yards on 10 carries, and caught 3 passes for 20 yards in two pre-season games.

First-year cornerback Tony Carter was "Waived/Injured".
