Broncos to "Huddle" With Marshall
By admin
Josina Anderson of FOX31 in Denver reports that Denver Broncos restricted free agent wide receiver Brandon Marshall will huddle today with the Broncos to discuss his future.
Marshall has expressed his desire to continue his NFL career in another city, and visited the Seattle Seahawks on the opening weekend of free agency. The Broncos placed the "First Round" tender on the two-time Pro Bowler, which despite their stated unwillingness to accept anything less than a first-round pick in a trade, was an indicator that they'd be willing to accept a second-round draft choice for Marshall.
The perception around the league is that the Broncos will trade Marshall prior to or during the 2010 NFL Draft, but that trade cannot take place until Marshall signs his one-year tender. If Marshall signs that tender during his "huddle" with the Broncos today, trade talks between the Broncos and Seahawks, who are the only team to express any meaningful interest in the 6-4, 230-pound receiver, could ramp up.
