The Denver Broncos have waived a pair of wide receivers, the Denver Post reports.
Waived on Tuesday were first-year wide receiver Dicky Lyons and undrafted rookie wide receiver Landis Williams.
Lyons (5-10, 192) caught 141 passes for 1,752 yards and 18 touchdowns during a 39-game career at the University of Kentucky. Lyons tore two ligaments (MCL, PCL) in his right knee midway through his senior season in 2008, and made a brief appearance during the Atlanta Falcons' training camp last summer.
In a 42-game career at the University of Maine, Williams caught 139 passes for 1,615 yards and 23 touchdowns, while averaging nearly 8 yards per punt return and 21 yards per kick return for the Black Bears. Williams was named first-team All-CAA after catching 70 passes for 779 yards and 9 touchdowns last season.
