Browns LB Marcus Benard Released From Hospital

Cleveland Browns linebacker Marcus Benard was released from a Cleveland hospital last night.

Benard had been taken to the hospital for tests after collapsing in the team's locker room on Thursday morning. Benard is expected to undergo more tests on Friday, and his status for Sunday's game against the New York Jets is unknown.

A second-year undrafted free agent from Jackson State, the 6-2, 256-pound Benard has 13 tackles and leads the Browns with 4.5 quarterback sacks this season.
