Chargers Sign WR Kelley Washington

The San Diego Chargers have signed free agent wide receiver Kelley Washington, Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Veteran offensive tackle Adam Terry has been released.

A former third-round pick (65th overall) out of the University of Tennessee by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2003, Washington (6-3, 218) has caught 107 passes for 1,327 yards and 11 touchdwons in a 83-game career with the Bengals (2003-06), New England Patriots (2007-08), and Baltimore Ravens.

Washington established career-highs with 34 receptions for 431 yards for Baltimore last season.

Over the last few seasons, Washington has established himself as a quality special teams player, totaling 28 tackles with a forced fumble and a blocked punt.

Signed this summer by the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington caught 5 passes for 55 yards and recorded one special teams tackle before he was released as part of the final roster cuts.
