Cowboys WR Patrick Crayton to Report to OTAs

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton will report for the team's final week of "Organized Team Activity" sessions, Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com reports.
"Crayton is excited about the 2010 NFL season and accepts any decision made by the Cowboys organization regarding his status with the team," agent Fred Lyles wrote in a text message to ESPNDallas. "He's looking to compete and we don't want to be a distraction."
Crayton has stayed away from off-season workers at the team's Valley Ranch headquarter, and has asked for his release from the Cowboys.
The Cowboys have granted Crayton and Lyles to pursue trade opportunities, but have declined Crayton's request for a release. The 31-year old has two years and $4.5 million dollars remaining on his current contract.
A seventh-round pick (216th overall) in 2004 out of Northwest Oklahoma State, Crayton has been a part-time starter in recent seasons, catching 196 passes for 2,888 yards and 23 touchdowns over the last six seasons. Crayton averaged over 12 years per punt return in 2009, returning two punts for touchdowns, both from over 70 yards.
Dallas has three OTA sessions scheduled this week (June 8-10), before a mandatory three-day mini-camp over the weekend.
