Dolphins Defensive Line Has a Pool For Hitting Favre

Miami Dolphins defensive end Tony McDaniel acknowledged on Friday that the defensive line has a pool for who will be the first to hit Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports.

McDaniel's admission will surely draw attention from the NFL, which prohibits teams and players from offering or accepting bonuses to a player for his or his team's performance against a particular team, opposing player(s), or a particular group of an opposing team.

McDaniel is getting the start in place of the injured Jared Odrick on Sunday.
