Dumervil to Have Surgery on Tuesday

Denver Broncos Pro Bowl linebacker Elvis Dumervil will have surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle on Tuesday, Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post reports.

Dumervil sought a second opinion from San Francisco-based Dr. Michael Dillingham, and the surgery was scheduled upon his return to Denver.

Dr. Ted Schlegel, the Broncos' head team physician, will perform the procedure, at which it will be determined how long Dumervil will be sidelined. The expectation is that Dumervil will miss the entire 2010 season, but there is an outside chance that Dumervil could return late in the regular season.
