Dwyer, McCoy Test Positive at Combine

FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer and Alex Marvez report that Georgia Tech running back Jonathan Dwyer and USC tight end Anthony McCoy tested positive for banned substances at the 2010 Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Dwyer tested positive for amphetamines, which a source for the FOXSports.com report says was for a prescription medication that Dwyer has NFL clearance to use. Given those circumstances, Dwyer's positive test result is unlikely to affect where he is selected in the upcoming NFL Draft, which is projected to be in the mid-to-late stages of the second round.

McCoy tested positive for marijuana. His representatives, Priority Sports & Entertainment (Ken Zuckerman), who the report points out have experience with positive tests from the Combine, began revealing the test result to NFL teams several weeks ago in the hopes of minimizing the damage to McCoy's draft stock.

McCoy (6-5, 259) one of the five top tight ends available in this year's class, but this positive drug test, combined with him being ruled academically ineligible for the Emerald Bowl, could very well hurt his draft stock in the eyes of many NFL talent evaluators.
