The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they have released six players on Wednesday, including veteran defensive Reggie Hayward.

Hayward appeared in 45 games over the last five seasons for the Jaguars, totaling 77 tackles, including 17.5 quarterback sacks. Hayward missed all but one game of the 2006 (Achilles) and 2009 (broken leg) seasons.

In addition to Hayward, the Jaguars waived center Cameron Stephenson, punter Robert Malone, cornerback Chris Hawkins, wide receiver Chris McGaha, and fullback Ben Stallings.

The moves trim the Jaguars roster to 74 signed players, with six unsigned 2010 draft choices.
