Jets CB Darrelle Revis Prepared to Hold Out

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that New York Jets All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis is prepared to hold out during training camp if he does not receive a new contract.
Per Mehta, Revis is undeterred by the 30-day rule--which requires players to report to training 30 days prior to the start of the regular season or lose a credited year towards unrestricted free agency--and is willing to risk losing an accrued season to obtain a new contract this summer.
Revis is reportedly seeking a contract with a per year average greater than the 3-years, $45.5 million dollar contract that Nnamdi Asomugha received from the Oakland Raiders.
