Jets RB Joe McKnight Could See Time at WR
By admin
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the New York Jets are planning to use fourth-round running back Joe McKnight all over the field this season.
"He has the ability to play in there," Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said of McKnight's ability to play the slot. "I wouldn’t say today--right now--'Wow, this guy is a great slot player'. But from the skill set that I see, I don’t see any reason why once he learns the system he couldn’t function in there."
Using McKnight in this fashion will certainly draw comparisons to New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, which McKnight has been hearing since before he arrived at USC.
