Jets Willing to Go Over $100M For Revis

Newsday's Bob Glauber reports the New York Jets are prepared to make All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis the highest paid defensive back in the history of the National Football League.

Citing sources close to the situation, Glauber reports the Jets are willing to add six years to Revis' current contract, which is set to pay Revis $21 million dollars over the next three seasons. The total value would exceed $100 million dollars, with an APY (average per year) of $12 million dollars.

Revis is seeking a contract that exceeds the yearly average of Oakland Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha's, which has an APY of over $15 million dollars per year.
