Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt doesn't deny being out on the town last Thursday night, but he denies throwing a punch during a brawl.

"Am I saying I was falsely accused? I believe so. You can’t believe everything the newspaper says," Britt said on Thursday via Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean, who also reported that Britt has hired a Nasvhille attorney.

Of course, newspapers didn't accuse Britt of throwing punches until several witnesses at Club Karma told the authorities that Britt punched 26-year old Harold Pointer, as indicated in the Metro police report.

"We probably had some words throughout the time we were there and probably the person that did touch him was probably with me and he probably thought so and he is falsely accusing me," said Britt.

"And that’s what happens throughout my life."

Since being chosen with the 30th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the former Rutgers star has been involved in several off-field incidents.

In January, Britt was arrested in Glen Ridge, New Jersey over $865 worth of outstanding traffic warrants. That arrest was followed by a report that Britt guaranteed a bail bond for a childhood friend who was charged possession of a firearm in connection to a murder. That friend, Albert Robinson, is already a convicted felon and in June was charged with the murder of a 17-year old Jersey City man, who authorities allege Robinson threw into the Hudson River.
