Leinart's 1-Year Deal Maxes Out at $1M

Quarterback Matt Leinart signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans on Monday. According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Leinart can make as much as $1 million this upcoming season.
Leinart was scheduled to earn $2.485 million from the Arizona Cardinals as part of the rookie contract he signed after being chosen with the tenth overall pick of the 2006 NFL Draft.
Instead, Leinart will earn a $630,000 base salary, the league minimum for players with four (4) accrued seasons. An additional $370,000 is available in the form of per game roster bonuses, where Leinart earns $23,125 if he's on the Texans' 45-man active roster on gameday.
