Paula Pasche of The Oakland Press reports that the Detroit Lions have signed free agent offensive lineman Noah Franklin.

Guard Roy Schuening has been "Waived/Injured".

After three seasons as a reserve at Oklahoma State University, Franklin (6-5, 313) started at left guard for the Cowboys last season, and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Carolina Panthers in April.

The Panthers released Franklin on August 9.

Pasche adds that newly acquired defensive end Lawrence Jackson will not play on Saturday night against the Denver Broncos.
