Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha Voids Contract

Oakland Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha has voided his contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Asomugha's three-year, $45.5 million contract from 2009 included a NLTBE (not likely to be earned) playing-time/performance clause that, if unearned, allowed the four-time Pro Bowler to void his deal and become an unrestricted free agent.
Additionally, if those incentives were not achieved, the Raiders would not be able to restrict Asomugha's movement via a franchise or transition tag.
The 6-2, 210-pound Asomugha started all 14 games he played in 2010, totaling 19 tackles and 6 passes defensed. While not eye-popping on their surface, those numbers indicate how infrequently opposing quarterbacks test Asomugha, who has just 3 interceptions and 26 passes defensed in his last 60 games.
Asomugha turns 30 in July, but will surely break the bank when a new collective bargaining agreement is in place.
