Rams Release K Shaun Suisham

The St. Louis Rams announced that they have released kick Shaun Suisham, and re-signed cornerback Marcus Brown.

Suisham was signed last Thursday to handle the kicking duties in the Rams' pre-season opener against the Minnesota Vikings while Josh Brown nursed a hip injury. Suisham converted his lone extra point attempt and kicked off twice during the Rams' 28-7 loss.

Brown is a 6-2, 200-pound cornerback from McNeese State. Brown went to training with the 2008 Arizona Cardinals, but was waived during the pre-season. After a brief stint with the Cincinnati Bengals, Brown joined the Rams last March. Brown made a pair of tackles in the pre-season, and spent the last half of the regular season on the practice squad.

The Rams had released Brown in May, but with a few banged up cornerbacks, are in need of bodies in the secondary.
