Sanders: Roy Williams Will Have "A Great Year"

During an appearance on The Ticket, former Dallas Cowboys cornerback and current NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders commented on the statuses of current Cowboys wide receivers Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton.

"I believe, this season, Roy Williams will bowl out; he will have a big year," Sanders said, according to the Dallas Morning News. "He’s going to be consistent. He’s going to be unlike you’ve seen him before because his back is against the wall. I’m willing to bet on Roy Williams that he has a great year and he comes out with a dog like he’s never had before. Because he knows that this could be it.

"He can’t control the balls coming to him. But what I mean is when the ball comes to him, when he has the one-on-one on the backside, which he will have, he’s going to win the matchup," Sanders added. "Then, when he continuously wins the matchup, then they’re going to throw more his way. It’s not rocket science that the same guys end up the in the Pro Bowl and they make the most catches every year. Because the offensive coordinators plug them in to receive the balls because you know what defense the opposing team is going to run. So, he’s going to bowl out."

The audio isn't up on The Ticket's website, but I'm quite certain Sanders said "ball out", not "bowl out". Unless that's the sport Sanders thinks Williams is going to have the big year in, in which case, I think Sanders' bet is a sound one.
