Titans Sign DE Marques Douglas

The Tennessee Titans announced the signing of veteran defensive end Marques Douglas.

Douglas (6-2, 292) started 12 of 16 games for the New York Jets in 2009, totaling 64 tackles and 1.5 quarterback sacks. Douglas added seven tackles, including one for a loss, during the 2009 NFL Playoffs.

Douglas has 435 tackles and 20.5 quarterback sacks during his NFL career, which began with the Baltimore Ravens, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Howard University in 1999.

In between his three stints with the Ravens, Douglas has also played for the New Orleans Saints (2000), San Francisco 49ers (2005-07), and signed a four-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2008 only to be traded back to Baltimore before the regular season.

Douglas had four tackles during pre-season action with the Miami Dolphins in August.

Defensive tackle Amon Gordon has been waived.
