ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Kansas City Chiefs restricted free agents Brodie Croyle, Rudy Niswanger, and Ryan O'Callaghan have signed their one-year tenders.

All three players were tendered at the second-round level, and with each having four accrued seasons, will earn base salaries of $1.759 million dollars in 2010.

Croyle was a third-round pick (85th overall) out of Alabama by the Chiefs in 2006, and is presently the top back-up behind starter Matt Cassel. Croyle has started 9 of his 16 games in the NFL, completing 57.7% of his passes for 1,631 yards, with 8 touchdowns and 8 interceptions for passer rating of 70.6

A knee injury in 2008 put Croyle on injured reserve, and Croyle's inability to stay healthy hindered his attempt to secure the starting quarterback job, prompting the Chiefs to acquire Cassel last off-season.

Niswanger signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of LSU in 2006, and 2010 will be the second straight season Niswanger will play under a restricted free agent tender. A back-up his first two seasons in the NFL, Niswanger has started 31 games for the Chiefs the last two seasons, and could open the 2010 season as the starting center.

O'Callaghan was a fifth-round pick (136th overall) out of Cal by the New England Patriots in 2006, who started 7 games for New England between 2006 and 2007 before missing the entire 2008 season with a shoulder injury. Waived by the Patriots at the end of the 2009 training camp, O'Callaghan was claimed by the Chiefs, whose new general manager, Scott Pioli, had drafted him in New England.

O'Callaghan started 12 of his 14 games with the Chiefs last season, and could start at right tackle this season.
