Vincent Jackson's Suspension Officially Announced

Jackson could miss game against Green Bay if he's traded to the Bears.

The NFL officially announced the suspension of San Diego Chargers restricted free agent wide receiver Vincent Jackson on Monday.

Jackson was suspended for three games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

"Vincent Jackson of the San Diego Chargers has been suspended without pay for the first three games of the 2010 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse," the league announced.

"Jackson's suspension begins on Saturday, September 4. He will be eligible to return to the Chargers' active roster on Monday, September 27 following the team's September 26 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

"Jackson is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games."

If Jackson signs his one-year tender or a long-term contract extension--neither of which are expected, though the former is far more likely than the latter--he would miss games against the Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Seahawks.

In an even more unlikely scenario where Jackson is traded, here's who he'd miss games against if Jackson becomes a member of the:

Seattle Seahawks: San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, San Diego
Washington Redskins: Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, St. Louis Rams
Chicago Bears: Detroit Lions, Dallas, Green Bay Packers
