Wes Welker Comes Off PUP

New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker has passed his physical and will come of the team's "Active/PUP" list to practice on Sunday, Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio said on Sunday.
"He's ready to go now. He's deemed physically ready to go based on the tests and what our trainers have decided.", said Caserio, according to Christopher Price of WEEI.com.
Welker tore the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his left knee during New England's regular season finale against the Houston Texans on January 3. Welker underwent ACL surgery in February, and recovered in time to participate in some drills during the team's voluntary Organized Team Activity sessions.
Though Welker has been cleared to practice, the Patriots will likely limit his practice schedule during training camp, as well limit the number of snaps he gets during the pre-season. Welker plays an important role in the offense, and keeping him healthy for the regular season is the top priority.
