For Green Bay Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy the messages sent to his players this week was simple and straight-forward. First ‘I don’t want to hear anything about the bye week’, and secondly ‘if you are healthy you play’ regardless of when the bye week happens to fall.
News from around the NFC North including the defending champion and first place Green Bay Packers as well as the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings.
What may be surprising to some is that the St. Louis Rams defense is statistically ranked only in the middle of all NFL defenses in total yardage allowed at 356.5 YPG. It is also vulnerable to the run and if the Packers can exploit it, they stand a good chance of winning this week's game at Lambeau Field.
The Packers were a completely different defense without Micah Parsons last year. If that unit can come together early on, it will allow Parsons to make sure that he will not be rushed back to the field.
