Joe Barry and the Open Door Defense, the laughing stock of the league

I have to agree with Aldo- Joe Barry has become the laughing stock of this league! And the implications of keeping him on staff could have greater, long term affects. What does it say about LaFleur who hires him and keeps him employed? LaFleurs' credibility is already deeply damaged by the Barry, Drayton and Stenavich hires/promotions. He's already viewed as a soft coach who coaches a soft team.
The reason I say these things is that GB might revert to a place good players will not want to come to in free agency as we were before Reggie White. Who wants to a team run by such bad coaches that could threaten their marketability in years to come?
But why talk about the long run when we are doing so well this season and planning the next win? Oh yeah, we have to look at the long run because this team is in a rebuild that will take years to come back from.

The JBarry defense frustrates the fans with questionable formations and strategies. However, the defense is only giving up ~20 points per game even with limited play in the secondary from preferred starters. We should be able to win these games with any semblance of complementary and sustained competent football from the offense. The defense, while very frustrating at times, is the more competent sibling at this point. Having said that, there is really nothing to lose by replacing JBarry next season. The value of continuity of this defense is minimal.
