Re MLF ranking 26th listening to the locker room: I suspect some defensive players went to Matt with frustrations about how the defense was being mismanaged. MLF listened but did not act until after the season tho he did say he was going to be more involved in the defensive side of the ball. I would think and hope his ranking improves significantly in next year’s survey. I wonder who will wear the communications helmet on defense; my early guess is Jaire.

Given that this survey was completed in the first half of the season, that seems less credible than frustration over the impotence of the approach by LaFleur on O in the first half of the season. Unless, that is, the dissatisfaction with Barry was an already significant issue in the summer and going into the season.

Given the timing of the survey response in the first third of this season this probably says as much about the off and preseason and back end of last season than where we are now.

Sometimes it's a nice touch to give a 'thumbs-up' to a poster's comment.

No one is stopping you if you think it justified.

Important to note as well that things like "92% of players feel Matt is efficient with their time" translating to a 15th overall ranking suggests there's a pretty small window these rankings are falling in. 92% approval being middle of the pack sounds like a pretty tight standard deviation.

I am not a math wiz. Apologies if I used that term incorrectly.

It's almost always a LB or S that gets the green dot helmet.

If so, I think that person is not currently on the team.

Lots of interesting stuff to talk about here!
Personalized diet / nutrition, strength and conditioning can all meld into fewer injuries, especially with the rash of hamstring problems. Obviously I cannot know if it might have been better to keep Chris Gizzi and change other components of this, but it's more than just #9.

Mike Wahle's approach says that if what the team is providing doesn't work for an individual player, it's up to them to pay a specialist to develop better. All different angles can simultaneously be true, but it would be an improvement if team personnel were specialized to each player on the roster. A few examples of this are OTs Mt Caleb, Telfort, Tenuta, and Walker. The first 3 have yet to play their first NFL down. All 4 are huge humans who no doubt should go about things differently than our players who are 5"11 #185. Mt Caleb came into TC under #340 instead of the #370 he's listed at, but that says nothing about body composition, power, endurance, or speed. Similarly, Simore Toure got a rep as being a slacker in 2022, and came into 2023 obviously having worked his tukus off, yet barely got a chance to play. Granted, he did not "make the most of his opportunities," but #9 dropped probably just as many passes and still got playing time.

Obviously there's more to this than just physical fitness, but that's a prerequisite. Hopefully all our players push themselves to excellence all off-season, and get all the support anyone could ever want. I'd still love to see #99 J Ford turn into a great draft pick ...

GPG!
