Aaron,
New to your site and enjoying your shows a lot.
Been a Packers fan for a long time. I'm 69 now, and my first memories of any sport - as a fan - were watching the Packers when I was 7.
I'm writing because you reminded me of something in the last week - having to do with people who claim to be fans, but actually want the team to lose the rest of their games to improve their draft position.
There is nothing worse for me as Packers' fan than losing a game. Nothing. Not that I take it to heart like I did 25 - 30 years ago, when it would ruin the next week for me. Fortunately, I'm way past that.
But even if the Packers are having a bad year - it makes me happy when they win. If that means our draft position is a couple of spots worse - I can live with it. Anybody who can't enjoy a Packer win, even in a down year, doesn't understand how difficult it is to win games in the NFL. And they damn sure didn't live through being a Packers fan in the 70's and 80's.
That's it.
But before I go, you called out somebody named Dennis near the end of "Packers Transplants" today - I believe for being a regular listener to recordings of the shows on your site. Not sure if that was me, since you probably know me from how I'm logged in, as "WC DDog". But if you did notice that I listen to a lot of your shows, then thanks.
Dennis

For a few days after a loss in a bad season, I'll start thinking I'll hope they lose more and get the better draft pick. But when the game starts, I always revert to cheering and hoping they win. A win does make you feel good.
