There was a good number of Packers fans who still wanted Rodgers replaced heading into the 2010 season. There's always a bunch of fickle fans who knee jerk react and have no idea what they're watching.

The fact that they exist does not have any bearing on the rest of us. Maybe you need to see more, and that's fine. Some of us have seen plenty of talent and have witnessed enough checked boxes to feel comfortable that Love is worth building around, at least for the next 3-5 years. Some of us haven't been changing our opinions every week. Some of us expected some hysteresis to occur with the ebb and flow of this initial season.

I've always thought that fair weather friends and fans are two different things.

I've maintained the same overall view:

I believe in the talent on this roster. I don't think that makes Gutey a good GM, but his roster building and drafting isn't reason to get rid of him. His handling of players demonstrates that he is NOT a people person, at least to me. I have no idea if he might fit in the organization better in a different position, or who might make a better GM.

Drafting JL in 2020 while claiming to go "all in" on the SB window was having each foot in a different boat; wind up in the drink they did. We're here now, and hopefully ascent from the rebuild doesn't take decades. After the draft I said 2025 is the year to actually contend. That still seems very ambitious considering the coaching failures in individual player development.

I agree that for 3-5 years JL is worth building around, but that doesn't create a pressing need to re-sign him now. Mid-season next season is fine. His arrow is pointing up but there's still some basic things he hasn't shown. Make the easy layup! Gotta be consistent with that. Yes there's some improvement there; #85 and 28 give him opportunities this team will need, and likely will need against KC.

A slow start to the season has become a hallmark of MLF. Fortunately a slow start to the O and especially JL seems to be IN THE PAST! Both are essential to fix if GB is ever to contend.

That there's so much that can improve is part of the excitement of this season :)

While this is too far away to be meaningful, forecast calls for game time temps of 31 falling to 28, with all precip cleared out by 2. Whether that leaves the ground a little soggy or how that might affect things?

I dunno but MLF seems to have heard us wanting to see JL run more. I want designed runs to be few and far between, and that call was brilliant. Seeing JL decide more quickly that an improvised run is the best bet would be an improvement but only if those decisions are good, at least keeping the O on the field.
