Unrelated and possibly unpopular opinion, the 2021 draft set GB back and entire year, possibly more, and the front office refuses to add any help to offset it. Eric Stokes, Josh Myers, Amari Rodgers, Royce Newman, TJ Slaton, Shemar Jean Charles, Cole Van Lanen and Kylin Hill. Imagine where this team would be if we drafted Asante Samuel Jr, Creed Humphrey and Nico Collins in place of the first three guys mentioned above. This was absolutely B.G.'s worst draft as a Packers GM, right up there with 2018.

But Gute is a genius, right ? Just like his mentor, Uncle Ted. Every draft choice is a gold nugget . Right?

I don't think anyone has ever said that. He has made plenty of good picks, just an equal amount of headscratchers.

That’s pretty much true of most GMs that survive long enough to have an adequate sample to judge.

Not defending our picks, but name a GM that strikes gold with every pick and never misses.

I agree completely with this. The obsession with drafting failed DBs in first and second round has killed this team. Too many failed dbs for me to count over the last several years. And why is this team also obsessed with drafting tweeners. Guys too big to play LB effectively and too small to play DL effectively. They have no beef up front to stop the run. Drafting has to improve and I don't think it will with current FO.

Hey Aaron
Why don’t you or anybody lease in the Packer press room ask lafleur if he’s considered not -lay calling? Or why Barry doesn’t change schemes or why the offense isn’t more creative in the first half etc etc tough real questions instead of pussy questions every post game?

If this was a NY team the press would lay into Lefluer but it’s Green Bay so he gets softball questions by golly !

Yes, the degree of deference is significant here. The fear of losing credentialing (access) is palpable. The fear of losing credibility is one that such folk shouldn’t forget.

Expounding on yours and CW's take
The press in GB is a big reason why change in GB works at a snails pace. They protect the FO from the national press acting as a buffer between themselves and the larger audience keeping things calm and invisible to the masses. This buys them time they would not otherwise enjoy in NY, Philadelphia, and the like. It's hard to chase the monster into a burning house when the villagers have no pitchforks. Must be nice to live a life void of credibility and integrity just so one can schmooze and hobnob around with the powers that be.

I seriously don't think your listeners and the folks that comment truly believe that the Packer brain trust review their accountability after every episode of PackersDaily. They are just stating their opinion. Ya sometimes it's ridiculous but what is it you are expecting to see in the comments? Lombardiesque genius and generational wisdom?? You seem a little too bothered by your audience when in fact your takes are sometimes equally as confusing and confounding. It must be fun to do your show when we are winning but the teams recent lack of success does not look good on you. Sorry, but that's my take. I will however take your advice and "move on". With all that's going on in the world it's time to listen to some cooler heads

Ur to serious waypack. People have opinions and they are fans and passionate so why belittle them? The world news and goings on is not the forum here so relax my friend.

"It must be fun to do your show when we're winning." You don't think the same holds true for us fans? It's been a great ride for the last 30 years, and now we're in for some lean years. In my opinion, it'll be 2025 before things start heading in the right direction. Build the lines in the next couple of drafts while clearing dead weight and dead money off the books.
