During a radio interview with Dan Patrick on Wednesday, Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy disclosed that he played his rookie season at less than 100%.

"I'm still sort of recovering from the injury," McCoy said, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. "I wasn't completely 100 percent healed. There's sometimes it still bothers me. I think an off-season of just completely focusing on healing my shoulder and getting it 100 percent will be good for me."

McCoy initially suffered a nerve injury in his right shoulder during the 2009 BCS Championship Game against the University of Alabama.

A third-round pick in 2010, McCoy started eight games as a rookie, completing 60.8% of his 222 pass attempts for 1,576 yards with 6 touchdowns and 9 interceptions for a 74.5 passer rating. The Browns won two of McCoy's starts, including a stunning 34-14 win over the New England Patriots, one of only two losses New England had on the season.

McCoy is believed to be a good fit for new head coach Pat Shurmur's west coast offense, and is expected to enter training camp at the top of the quarterback depth chart.
