Injured wide receiver Domenik Hixon, waived by the Giants on Thursday, has cleared waivers and will be placed on injured reserve, Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports.

A restricted free agent tendered at the "Second Round" level this off-season, Hixon will earn his $1.684 million dollar base salary.

The Giants waived Hixon on Thursday to clear room for the signing of wide receiver Adam Jennings.
