NFL's FinCom Recommends Approval of Kroenke Bid

The NFL's finance committee has recommended approval of St. Louis Rams minority owner Stan Kroenke's bid to purchase the remaining 60% of the franchise, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

League owners will vote on the matter on Wednesday in Atlanta.

Illinois businessman Shahid Khan attemped to purchase the remaining 60%, widely reported to be worth $750 million, from Rams owners Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez. As the minority owner, Kroenke exercised his option to bid on the remaining portion in February.

Kroenke also owns the NBA's Denver Nuggets and NHL's Colorado Avalanche, and plans to transfer ownership of those franchises to family members to skirt NFL rules prohibiting ownership of multiple professional sports franchises.
