Rams OT Rodger Safford to Miss Rest of OTAs With Sprained Knee

St. Louis Rams second-round offensive tackle Rodger Saffold has a sprained knee, the team announced on Friday.

Which knee Saffold sprained is unknown, and the Rams added that they will hold Saffold out of the remaining Organized Team Activity sessions for precautionary reasons.

The 33rd overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Indiana, the 6-5, 318-pound Saffold had been working at right tackle with the second-team offensive line, but is expected to immediately challenge for a job as the bookend to 2009 first-round pick Jason Smith, who is moving to the blindside after Alex Barron was traded to the Dallas Cowboys.
