John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports the Houston Texans have placed veteran defensive end Adewale Ogunleye on waivers.

Practice squad defensive end Tim Jamison was promoted to the active roster.

Signed after the Texans lost second-year defensive end Conner Barwin in the season-opener, Ogunleye (6-4, 260) played a reserve role in the last four games for the Texans, posting a pair of tackles as the newly signed Mark Anderson has emerged as the Texans' top pass-rushing end in recent weeks.
